Immediate Life Support (ILSi) Instructor Course

Develop the educational, communication and facilitation skills required to teach Resuscitation Council UK Immediate Life Support and Paediatric Immediate Life Support courses.

The Immediate Life Support Instructor course (ILSi) is a specialist, one-day instructor programme for healthcare professionals who have been identified as having Instructor Potential (IP) while attending an eligible Resuscitation Council UK provider course.

The course prepares candidates to deliver effective, inclusive and structured teaching on:

• Immediate Life Support courses
• Paediatric Immediate Life Support courses
• Practical skills stations
• Clinical simulations
• Scenario-based discussions
• Candidate assessment and feedback

ILSi is not an open-entry course. Candidates must normally have been formally recommended as having Instructor Potential and invited to progress through the Resuscitation Council UK instructor pathway.
